Prints For Prints: Providing Printed Portraits to Rural Communities
Prints for Prints is a volunteer effort by many photographers to bring the joy of a printed portrait to those who may never have the opportunity to possess such a simple, yet powerful, keepsake. Volunteers from around the world donated their printed photographs to sell in order for a small group of traveling photographers to purchase portable photo printers to bring on location. The core group traveled to Ethiopia in 2013 and the project was a huge success! In November, 2014 they will return again to Ethiopia and plan to expand the project to Morocco in the near future.
This photo of mine sold at the first auction in 2013 and the proceeds were donated for printing supplies. I was proud to be a small part of this wonderful project!
Many beautiful and varied prints are still available for purchase online here. Hail to the Print!
